Witness sampling of Phoenix Lights observed on June 14th, 2004

I live in goodyear, AZ. On this same night. (between 8:05 pm to 8:38 pm.) ., but the sighting was between those times., as I was driving looking towards Estrella Mountains, I saw this same lights but they were like goldish-orange and were on the edge of this pancake shaped shp. My son and I pulled over to the side of the road to see the ship. The ship went up quite high then blinked going low then disappeared in thin air. . This was not an airplane nor helicopter (there were just blocked shaped orangish-gold lights incapsulated on the edge of this pancake shaped ship.

I am SO excited that someone else besides myself has seen these!!! My husband and I first witnessed them last week. We are having a home built up in Estrella Mountain Ranch, and had decided to take a drive up to see the progress. This was around 8:30 pm. I had first noticed them while driving up towards the mountain, and had pointed them out to my husband. At first we both thought they were just some sort of strange street lights. But as we got closer to the North Lake, it became evident, that this was something in the sky. At that point, it appeared to be right above the Estrella Mountain Ranch Golf Course located in the neighborhood. My husband and I proceeded to follow them, but as we got closer, they disappeared. We waited along the side of the road in a residential area in the mountain to see if they reappeared.(Waited aprox, 15 min.). They did not appear, so we took our drive by our home to see the building progress. As we left, we headed back north on Estrella Pkwy, I looked behind me, and noticed that they had reappeared!! They reminded me of the PHX lights back a few years ago. My husband and I drove down the mountain and parked in a nearby field(near Estrella Pkwy/Yuma Road) to watch this incredible sight. They originally appeared to be in a V formation along the Estrella Mountains... aprox. 7 lights total. They again disappeared, and then reappeared off to the West, near the Palo Verde Nuclear Power Plant area. My husband and I watched these lights for aprox 3 hours. Unfortuately, I didnt have a camcorder with me to get footage. Im so happy to see that you did. I called 3 different news stations that evening to report what we were seeing....and they all laughed at me and told me that they get lots of calls like these, and didnt feel that it was important. I was starting to think I was crazy! The following night, around 11:00 pm, we looked out my daughters window (we currently live in the area), and they were out there again. This time, I only saw two lights, but they were still in the same location.
Tonight, they were out there again. I heard the reports on channel 5 news, and heard that there was footage on the internet! That spiked my attention to look out the window.....just for curiosity. Sure enough....they were there ( this was around 10:30 pm tonight when we noticed them.) This time, I was not alone. My neighbors stood outside and watched them as well. Unfortunately, I didnt get any footage from tonight either.
Im not sure what these things are......but it is definately a sight to be seen!!! The are amazing.
I have to admit, a little scarey also.
We saw them 2 days in a row last week, and again tonight. That is 3 times in less than a week! I would recommend that you take a look again tommorrow night between 8:30- 11:00 pm, as that seems to be when they appear.

Just wanted to let you know, that My sister and I have been watching these lights
every night since last Tues. they come up around 8:20 every night. The last time
we watched them was last night at about 9:00 pm. My sister and her husband tried
calling Luke, police and all the news stations the first night they appeared but no one
would answer the phone. We have become used to these already and call each other every
night to watch them together.

I suspect you will be receiving email confirmations of your sighting. I wanted to add mine, because it is slightly different. I live in Anthem, which is a new Del Webb community about 20 miles north of downtown on Highway 17. I was in the backyard around 9 p.m. Monday night 6-14, and was very startled to see TWO strings of golden lights in what is probably the south western sky. They were just hanging there - could see no movement from my yard. But there were definitely TWO strings of lights, separated by black sky. The left string had 8 lights. The right string had from 6-8 lights - they were so close together it was hard to tell. Then the really wierd part. I sat and watched about 15 minutes, and first the lights in the right string very quickly diminished in light intensity (one by one) and vanished. It was like they were on a dimmer switch. Then the 8 lights in the left string did the same thing. By the way, now I am very conscious of this issue, and I was out there last night. 2 golden lights appeared in the exact same spot, very large and not moving. They were also there about 5 minutes and then they just dimmed out. I am not a ufo buff, and just moved here from California in April. This was the last thing I ever expected to encounter, but it was extremely shocking. I filed a report with the UFO REPORTING CENTER in Seattle Washington (run by Peter Davenport - this is where the military sends you to, when you call them about a ufo sighting). I also contacted the author of the new book THE PHOENIX LIGHTS, Dr. Lynne Kitei and told her about it. She evidently has researched such anomalies for years and is emphatic that they are NOT flares and have no conventional explanation so far. From now on, I will keep my camera with me. I enjoy our backyard pool at night so now I will be another amateur sky watcher. The commercial flights come right over our house all day and night, turning on their landing lights as they cross Daisy Mountain directly to our right, then curving around the house and flowing south to Sky Harbor. I am quite familiar with a conventional plane versus something bizarre

Full Description & Details: On the night of the 14th of June, 2004, while on my way to a business meeting at 9:00 in the town of Buckeye Arizona, my associate and I saw approximately 15 lights that came on in series in a line from west to east. The lights appeared to be stationary and basically in a line. They were very bright, not ground based, not moving, with the exception of the coming and going of the lights themselves.

I told my son, who is also a non-believer when it comes to UFO's and not more than a half hour later he called me from his car and described the same sight, in the same area, but this time there were fewer lights. This sighting was made at least by three adults with my son and by myself from about 7 miles away.

(Personal Background: Retired radar engineer and software designer who is a commercial/instrument pilot with thousands of hours flying time).

The lights are all the same color, white. Moisture or dust particals are causing a prism effect.
A number of years ago I was on a secret assignment in Europe. Flying tree-top-tall, black-out, instrument and visual only at night and heading due south in a military observation aircraft. The pilot and I, after cresting a mountian ridge, where looking dead ahead at this very same sight. In hide-sight, neither of us could tell if we were following it or was it following just ahead of us. We got lots of photos and film.
We never got an answer as just what this was. It always appeared to be multi-colored until a spotter scope was used to view it close up. The lights were always clear and bright white on the scope as well as we were told on the close-up film or photos we had taken.
Due to the classified nature of our mission assignment, it is impossible to be more specific as to date, time, place and all involved. However the photos and film went directly to DC. We were simply told to can-it.
